OUR MISSION
Our Mission at Montessori Early Years Learning and Care Centres, is to provide a natural and sustainable environment that promotes respect, compassion, well-being, and a love of learning in every child. We strive to offer a service which supports families by offering convenience, flexibility and reliability.
OUR VISION
Montessori Early Years Learning and Care Centres offer the highest standards in the quality of care provided to children and their families. Our specific holistic approach in fostering and supporting children, enhances our vision to offer a centre of excellence in learning through the Montessori Philosophy. Our vision is built around our desire to help educate and provide children with the foundations to become independent, confident, and resilient young people in preparation for their journey ahead.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Montessori method of education developed by Maria Montessori is child centred educational approach based on scientific observations of the children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori’s method has been an alternative mythology with over 100 years of success throughout the world.
Montessori Early Years Learning and Care Centre believes that a child is naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a supportive environment that has been thoroughly prepared. It is an approach that values the human spirit and the development of the whole child, physically, socially, emotionally and cognitively.
We believe each child is a competent learner, and we choose to nurture every child’s personal journey of change and growth. We believe the child’s early play environment is central to lifelong learning, and we offer opportunities which stimulate and engage them. Our priority is to support the children in order to be able to explore, experiment, discover, and be creative as this will assist them to problem solve and express ideas of their own. We believe this leads to the development of positive relationships, positive self-‐esteem and everyday life skills.
We believe in protecting the rights of children, advocating for them and challenging bias. We promote working together peacefully by displaying grace and courtesy attributes and by encouraging understanding and social justice.
We recognise the importance of family and community partnerships and believe Montessori Early Years Learning and Care Centre will be an essential asset through valuable contributions. We accept each child and family’s values, culture, beliefs and abilities and encourage their contribution to the care environment. We welcome community involvement recognising it as an evolving resource benefiting the child, family and community as a whole.
We believe in rich relationships within our service and our desire is to promote professional and personal growth by supporting one another.
We acknowledge the original custodians and animals of this land as we continue our journey towards a sustainable future for the wellbeing of all in the communities we are a part of.
